Would you expect the Catholics to be inquisitive when it comes to evolution?

I don't think catholics have a monopoly on having a problem with evolution. Where I live, all churches think evolution is a bad idea. When I ask any believer about how they rationalise evolution, I generally get the answer "I don't like to think very much about that...it challenges my belief, so I ignore it". Kind of sums up most religious perspectives: believe the unlikely when the likely is obvious and staring you in the face.
